Who is the Artist: Huang Tsun Ren (黃存仁)?

Artist Huang is one of the famous Pottery Artist in Taiwan. His pieces had been presented in many art exhibitions inside and outside Taiwan. His works mostly include oil spot Tenmoku and Zen tea ware. Therefore, Who is Artist Huang Tsun Ren ?

Artist Huang was born in 1981 in Taipei and entered National Taipei Teachers College (now National Taipei University of Education) in 2001 and was introduced to pottery art by mentor, Professor Lo Sen-hao (羅森豪). Huang received a Master’s degree in Pottery art in 2009. 

In 2010 and 2011, he was the artist-in-residence at Ho-cheng Cultural & Educational Foundation and was responsible for glaze development and research in oil spot Tenmoku. Between 2012 and 2014, Huang set up his personal studio and introduced the Chi Tao Ren Pottery Art Studio(棲陶仁陶藝工作室) at the end of 2014.

2004 Work admitted for the student group of “The Birth of New Talents: The 1st Art of Making ceramic art Magazine Pottery Award”

2004 Chubunouren Market at Okinawa, Japan, “Da Mai Ting”, Graduation exhibition of Class of 94 of the Art and Art Education Department at National Taipei University of Education

2008 “Alternating and Direct Current” pottery art exhibition at Nanhai Gallery, National Taiwan University of Arts and National Taipei University of Education.

2008 Woodfire kiln design and construction activity at Albe Farm of Shihmen, Taipei.

2009 “Speed and Experience” Huang Tsun-ren pottery solo exhibition at 435 Art  Zone of Banqiao.

2010 Pottery artist-in-residence of Fun Pottery Course at Taipei Municipal Xinhai Elementary School.

2010-2011  Artist-in-residence (Tenmoku glaze color development) at Hocheng Kiln Pottery Workshop of Hocheng Cultural and Educational Foundation.

2012 Work published in book Taiwan Tea Ware written by Wu Te-liang.

2013 “Light Pottery Art” young pottery artist group exhibition at Yingko Gong  Tong Ci You.

2014 The official establishment of Chi Tao Ren pottery art studio in Ankeng Xindian.

2015 Work published in book Taiwan Humanity Tea Ware written by Wu Te-liang.

2015 Work admitted into Global Chinese Art Network among “Taiwan Emerging  Artists”
